Even though I missed the Moon on July 27, this little series of pictures showing the changing in the Moon’s phase came out better then I could have ever hoped. This will probably be the last one in this series due to the Moon rising earlier in the morning – or later at night depending upon your perspective!
Here is the phases of the Moon again, except instead of three separate images, all three images are in one. There are three sizes below, from the original size, to smaller.

Okay… these are some of the best pictures I have ever taken. Taken through my 6″ scope, with a 32mm eyepiece w/ a light pollution filter, Canon A75 point and shoot digital. Some of the pics have some digital noise due to me running a high sharping effect on them, but Moon #1 is the most favorite picture I have ever taken. Here are some more shots of the moon from tonight. Sky was clear for about 20 min, so these were a lot easier to focus. Again, taken from Thomaston, GA with my Canon A75 point and shoot, with my brothers scope.
Moon, again from Thomaston. The pics are not that great due to cloud cover, which made focusing and detail much more difficult. The “halo is caused by the clouds, not so much the focus. These pics were taken with the Canon A75 and though my youngest brothers scope.
More “daytime” moon pics. They appear darker due to exposure times and enhancements, etc. The first pic is the smallest of the four, it is also the most enhanced.
Moon today from Thomaston, GA (we are back home this weekend). This was taken through my brother’s (Josiah) telescope (SpaceProbe 3 Altaz Reflector 3″) with my Canon A75 point and shoot. Hopefully it will remain clear and I can take some tonight.
More Moon pics, this time taken with my Canon A75 point & shoot. Thanks to Dr. Michael Covington of the University of GA (Covington Innovations is his website), I have discovered the main problem with my DSLR.
