Saturn, Mars & the Moon + The Big Dipper – May 7, 2008
I thought the shot with Saturn, Mars and the Moon is really cool. The Moon is so bright due to the long exposure (30s and then15s, and then I believe 5s for the dimmest one). Once again, I came close to getting all of Ursa Major (the Big Dipper), but once again I failed by about three stars… if only I had been more patient!

Okay… these are some of the best pictures I have ever taken. Taken through my 6″ scope, with a 32mm eyepiece w/ a light pollution filter, Canon A75 point and shoot digital. Some of the pics have some digital noise due to me running a high sharping effect on them, but Moon #1 is the most favorite picture I have ever taken. Moon #2 – Feb. 16, 2008 (Thomaston, GA)
Here are some more shots of the moon from tonight. Sky was clear for about 20 min, so these were a lot easier to focus. Again, taken from Thomaston, GA with my Canon A75 point and shoot, with my brothers scope.
